WHY EPILEPSY RESEARCH?
3 million people in the US alone have epilepsy -- 40% of those people do not have control of the disease and live debilitating and disabling lives. Seizures kill 50,000 people every year in the US. Despite all this, research for the disease is tremendously underfunded. More research is needed to find a cure. CURE -- Citizens United for Research in Epilepsy -- is a non profit organization dedicated to finding a cure for epilepsy by raising funds for research and increasing the awareness of the prevalence and devastation of this disease.
