SHS Marching Band Debuts 2008 Field Show - "Mirror Images"

SMB thanks Susan Hannibal, SHS Band Liaison, for this article -

The Saratoga Marching Band delivered a delicious taste of their 2008 show, "Mirror Images" at the home football game on September 26th. What an evening! Did you notice how packed the field was with performers? As Mr. Boitz put it, "There are just so many students... where did they all come from? This is the largest marching band we have ever had!" The look of so many students is really impressive and they put out an amazing sound. This year’s Color Guard Visual Ensemble uniforms and flags are gorgeous and really pop against the green field. The night was a big success with the football team winning their game against Westmont .

The big surprise of the night came when the stadium lights went off unexpectedly at 10:00 p.m. with 59 seconds left of the game, which left us surrounded in darkness for a while. The band played on in the dark entertaining the fans until the lights came back on. The evening was a great beginning for the 2008 marching season. Join us next week as the fun continues with another half-time show at the homecoming football game versus Los Altos on Friday, October 3rd.
